The University of Wolverhampton Christmas-Time Lecture 2021: When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney

December 16, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free
University of Wolverhampton Christmas Time Lecture

The University of Wolverhampton Christmas-Time Lecture is now in its 5th year and still going strong. Using the festive song ‘When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney’ as our muse, this year’s University of Wolverhampton Christmas-Time Lecture will take a humorous look at what might happen to poor old Santa Claus, and the advice that University of Wolverhampton experts might offer to help with his predicament. The lecture will take a satirical look at why Santa chooses to access your property through the chimney and not the door, who is liable if Santa does get stuck, Santa’s health and wellbeing, disaster causation and why Santa hasn’t learned from past experiences, what happens to Santa if he doesn’t get out and what transpires if he doesn’t get stuck but is caught kissing mummy underneath the mistletoe. This years lecture will draw on the expertise of the Institute of Sport, the Institute of Psychology, The University of Wolverhampton Law School, the STEM Response Team, The Black Country Living Museum and Black Country Studies Centre, The Emergency Management and Resilience Centre, and The Doctoral College.
